Monumental Treasures - Preservation and Conservation XX NKF Congress in Helsinki

The Nordic Association of Conservators Finnish section is happy to announce the XX NKF Congress to be held in Helsinki, Finland on 21-23 October 2015.

The theme of the congress is the preservation and conservation of monumental cultural heritage objects.

This congress is meant for conservators, contractors, curators, archeologist, architects and all professionals working in a cultural heritage field.

The program for the XX NKF Congress will present about 30 presentations representing 10 countries discussing conservations topics including: Textiles, Interiors, Exteriors, Buildings, Small and Large Objects, and featuring different perspectives in the field of conservation of monumental objects and ensembles.

A list of the presentations and presenters has been released on the Congress’ webpage.

Excursions will take place on Thursday afternoon to different sized monumental attractions situated in and around the Helsinki city center including, for example, the Presidential Palace and the on-going project at the National Library of Finland.

Daily lunch and a preprint publication is included in the congress fee.

The Congress venue is the National Museum of Finland located north of the centre of Helsinki and is easy to reach by public transportation or on foot.

The congress’ working language will be English.
